WORK OBJECTIVE:
Student intern(s) will join our strategic communications team and assist with a variety of projects in support of the NFTA’s public relations strategy. Associated tasks will include creating communication and media plans/releases, developing marketing campaigns, executing special events and community relations, social media promotions, market research, and other content development projects. Knowledge of MS Office required. Familiarity with photo revision software is helpful. Internship work may be used for student portfolio when finalized.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and actively pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field. A high level of organization, attention to detail and self-motivation is necessary. This internship may require some set-up/lifting or off-site work.
NOTE:
Specifics are below:
Internship Dates: Spring: Jan 11-Apr. 30 | Summer: May 17-Aug. 13 | Fall: Sept. 8–Dec. 10.
Deadline for all applications is six weeks prior to the start of each internship.
Compensation: Academic credit hours
Hours Per Week: 14—18, must be available to work in-office
Workdays: TBD, based on availability* (no weekends)
Office Location: Metropolitan Transportation Center, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo
